Erla María Árnadóttir is an Icelandic illustrator and co-owner at Studio Erla & Jónas.

Erla María was born in Paris, France (1984) where she lived as a toddler before moving to Reykjavík, Iceland.
After finishing a degree in General design and handicraft at The Technical College in Reykjavík (2005) she moved to Sweden for a little while.
In 2008 Erla María gratuated from the Multimedia illustration and animation course at The European Institute of Design (IED) in Milan, Italy.
Shortly after that she met her multi-talented future husband, Jónas Valtýsson and together they lived and worked in Brighton, England for a few years.

They now run their own design and illustration studio in Reykjavík where they live with their two kids.
